This year Mylestone has been working with Midland School in North Branch. The senior class held a craft sale during the holidays. Mylestone was chosen to receive the proceeds of the sale. Several of the special needs students and their teacher from Midland School came out to the farm and presented Mylestone with $200 they had raised. (below)
We took a group photo with all the students and us. We wanted to include a horse in the photo with the kids. Blaze was worth his weight in gold. He was wonderful with the students, so good in fact, we took many pictures with the kids individually holding the lead rope.
We also took the students on a tour of the farm and they were so excited to meet the horses and to hear of what had happened to them before they came to Mylestone. It was touching to see their compassion for the horses and what they’d been through. A big thanks to these caring Midland School students. See next page for additional photos!
