Sugar, adoptive mom Cheryl, and Cinnamon getting ready to trailer to their new home.
Cinnamon and Sugar came to us in October of 2016. They were rescued from the auction, extremely attached to each other. It was determined they couldnít be separated. Cinnamon is Sugarís mom and they had been together a long time. Mylestone took them in because the woman who purchased Cinnamon didnít want Sugar, too. The girls had once been handled roughly and didnít completely trust people, but they began coming around slowly after they arrived. Since they are 12 and 8 years old we really wanted to find them a home of their own.
We were thrilled when Cheryl called about adopting Cinnamon and Sugar. She was looking for a companion for her horse. She had a mini that recently passed away, so came to visit Cinnamon and Sugar. As a longtime horse owner, and working at a large equine hospital, Cheryl has the experience to deal with their trust issues. We also felt they would thrive having their own person to work with them consistently. I visited Cherylís farm for a home check, and we are very happy to say Cinnamon and Sugar have been adopted! They are doing well and Cheryl really enjoys having them, plus her gelding is particularly fond of Sugar.
