First, a huge thank you to Horsemen's Outlet who makes Help A Horse Day possible through the continued support of store owner Sarah Prant Ercolano, her husband Tony, store manager Mary Ellen, and the staff of Horsemenís Outlet! Thank you!
Horsemen's Outlet makes this event possible for Mylestone. Pictured are: left front, store owner Sarah Ercolano and rear left store manager, Mary Ellen O'Toole. Next to her is board member and volunteer Lois Commander, and at right, Susankelly Thompson, Founder and President of Mylestone, with son Austin in front and husband Bruce at her left.
Some of our official greeters - Mike, Dayna and Nikki - at Horsemen's Outlet entrance welcomed guests and asked for signatures to our roster.
We had more rain than shine but Help a Horse Day was a great success despite the weather! We collected over 800 signatures. That is the great thing about horse people - rain doesnít faze them, we had a good turnout.
We're so proud of the great job done by Girl Scout Troop 90231 and their leaders!
Girl Scout Troop 90231 did an amazing job collecting food donations from local barns to be donated to a local food pantry as part of our Horses Helping Humans theme! Over 700 items of nonperishable food were collected for those in need. The girls had such great spirit and the leaders were terrific. We are so proud at how successful the food collection was!
St. Hubert's brought some of their "Barn Buddies" cats, and happily, found homes for four of them.
We also had St. Hubertís join us and they ended up getting 4 of their cats adopted out which was awesome! We had several vendors, among them Cards by Franny with beautiful handmade cards for sale, and Runtime Coffee founded by Noah DiRoberto who generously offered free samples of coffee to our guests.
Board member Cheryl Kavka with a lovely horse painting that was available in our Silent Auction.
We had a great selection of items for our Silent Auction. The dollhouse pictured was made by a 97 year-old man! Thanks to all who donated to make this a success.
Our silent auction was filled with wonderful items and thank you to all those that baked for our bake sale! Besides the bake sale, hot meals were available on the grill thanks to Horsemenís Outlet. We also had a tack swap too, it was smaller this year due to the weather, but still helped our cause.
Volunteers Reed and Mary had Mylestone merchandise at their table, a great way to remember our horses.
Horsemenís Outlet was busy with long lines of customers participating in our event and using the 20% coupon Horsemen's had provided for signing our roster.
Please sign our roster!

We are also so appreciative to all the Mylestone volunteers that braved the weather to help set up and work the event. It was a great day with many generous donations for the horses. Thank you to everyone that made Mylestoneís 2017 Help a Horse Day event such a great success!5/1/2017
