Emmet sez: Help the horses feed the hungry!
Help our horses give back to the community! For Open House, you can make a difference by bringing cans of soup for a local food pantry, housed inside the nearby Calvary Bible Fellowship Church.
This small food pantry provides food to surrounding communities, and buys the food at a reduced rate from a local food bank every week. On average, the food pantry sees 300+ adults, children and many seniors a month coming in for food. In addition, new families are coming in weekly in need of help.
Mylestone’s founder Susankelly found out about the food pantry which is less than 10 minutes from the farm from a friend. When she went to drop off a donation they asked if she could spare some time volunteering, as they were desperate for help. Susankelly and her youngest son have been helping out for about 3 months now.
Please help feed the hungry right here in the rescue horses’ backyard and bring one or more cans of soup to Open House. Last year - our third year of collecting soup - we collected 438 pounds of soup and really made a difference. Thank you!
