Our big green sign is a welcome to everyone coming to enjoy the day.
Mylestone celebrated our 3rd ASPCA Help a Horse Day event at Horsemen’s Outlet on April 23rd. While we had a wet start to the day, the sun came out and we has a terrific turnout. We collected over 700 signatures on our roster All the funds raised for this event will go towards Mylestone’s Equine Relief Fund. Mylestone’s Equine Relief Fund provides emergency support for horses in need. We network with humane authorities and other rescue groups to provide funding for various veterinary care including coggins tests, emergency care, castrations and humane euthanasia.
A stunning circular frame with photos of the Mylestone horses was featured in our Silent Auction.
This event wouldn’t have been possible without the generosity and support of Sarah Prant Ercolano, Mary Ellen O’Toole and the rest of the staff at Horsemen’s Outlet. We had a large tack swap from donated tack plus many other tack vendors joined us for the day. Out silent auction did amazingly well, we had over 50 baskets, paintings and assorted items to bid on. We appreciate all the baskets, items and paintings people donated! We also had a wonderful bake sale filled with lots of goodies! Thank you to all those the baked for us. We had some interesting visitors which included a baby pot belly big and baby goats.

We had two girls who came with crafts to sell to raise funds for us. Adorable horseshoes decorated by Ava Zajac - and very cute cork ornaments made by Katie Sorgel. We really appreciate the girls coming out and helping us for the day!
Some of our fabulous helpers - volunteers Dawn DelGrosso and Cynthia Barkman, Board members Lois Commander and Cheryl Kavka, and volunteer Mary Holmes.
Once again we could not have pulled off this event without the hard work and dedication from our volunteers. Thank you for helping us make a difference for horses in need by supporting our Help a Horse Day event. Whether you sent a donation in, stopped by to drop one off and signed our roster, we greatly appreciate your support!
Our Silent Auction offered many original pieces of art featuring horses.
