Raindate: Sunday October 19th, 12 - 4 p.m.
Come join us at this year’s 15th Annual Open House - we're celebrating 20 years of helping horses!
Scout is always a big fan favorite and he'll be waiting to meet you.
As beautiful as the horses are in their photographs on our website, Facebook, and in our calendar, there’s nothing like meeting them in person and seeing how truly beautiful they are. This is the one opportunity during the year to learn all about the horses, meet our wonderful volunteers, and have a great day enjoying the many attractions of Open House.
You can kiss some of our prizes for luck, but they still go to the highest bidder!
Bid on great gifts in our Silent Auction, and get a headstart on holiday shopping for friends and family, (or just a treat for yourself!) Pick up some wonderful goodies at our now-famous Bake Sale as well as one or more of our fabulous 2015 Mylestone calendars. Shop our vendors including longtime friend Barbara Hornstra, equine artist, as well as jewelry and gift vendors and more. Don’t forget we always have a terrific selection of Mylestone merchandise, and lost treasures.
Even our youngest visitors get a chance to say hello to a horse and learn how to be kind and gentle.
If you’ve always wanted a firsthand look at how a horse rescue operates, and how our horses came to Mylestone, this is your chance! You’ll find plenty of information as well as inspiration. Our displays will show you the deplorable conditions so many of our horses arrived in and you can see for yourself how great they're looking now. Open House is an afternoon you’ll most certainly enjoy.
Please mark your calendars and be sure to come visit at Open House - Sunday, October 12th from 12 - 4 pm. For a taste of what you'll find at Open House, take a look at last year's event.
Spread the word about Open House! Download our Open House Flyer here, print out and post wherever horse and animal lovers might see it. Help bring more people to meet our wonderful rescue horses!
We are often asked what Open House guests can bring along to help the horses or the operation of the rescue. You can find a list here, and when you arrive there will be a pick-up truck as you enter to accept your kind donations.
Last year we asked each person attending to bring a can of soup for those fighting hunger in our community - it was the horses' way of giving back and a great success. We're doing it again! Please check here for details and bring soup!
Important! - Please remember, for everyone's safety, no dogs will be allowed at Open House. The horses are not familiar with dogs and may spook, potentially injuring volunteers, visitors and/or other horses. Thanks for understanding.
Photographs taken of the Mylestone horses are for editorial use only, and may not be used or reproduced without express written permission of Mylestone Equine Rescue. If you have any questions about this, please ask us. Thank you.
