Hey, Addie! Here they come. Woo Hoo! Prick up your ears, girlfriend, this is going to be an Open House to remember!"
Ethan and Adelaide look out to the crowd, so excited to have visitors.
We had a wonderful crowd - about 500- 600 visitors. Thanks so much for coming! Greeting everyone in the main aisle were pumpkins, face painting, lost treasures, and our bake sale!
It was perfect weather and everyone enjoyed meeting and learning about the horses as well as the variety of things to see and do.
And if you wanted to know anything about Mylestone or the horses, information tables were set up at either end of the farm. Plenty of newsletters were given out so visitors could learn more when they got home or find a handy link to the web site.
Questions about Mylestone? These 3 ladies had the answers! Cynthia Barkman in center flanked by Paulette (l.) and Sharielle Lawrence.
While some of our horses are a little shy at Open House, there is always one who can be counted on as a model of patience and kindness each year, and that's Livy. She adores the attention and offers a great opportunity for people with no experience around horses to come up close and get to meet one.
I think we have Livy covered here!
It may have been Neil Sedaka that sang about his calendar girls way back then, but Mylestone has its own reason to sing. At our calendar (and card and horse jewelry table) this year, we had our own calendar girls. And they were selling Mylestone's beautiful 2011 calendar. If you missed getting one, you can still buy a 2011 calendar right here on the web site.
Jen Wenzel, calendar photographer, Dawn Clemente and Nancy Kemble were Mylestone's own "calendar girls" all day.
