2009 Was A Haunting Halloween Party

Our annual Halloween Benefit at Upton Pyne was held on Halloween this year. It was a haunting evening to help the horses at Mylestone. Carrie and George Mahoney put together a wonderful event thanks to their friends, many Mylestone volunteers and generous supporters. This event would not be possible without the generosity of Susan and Bob Landmesser who let us use their beautiful estate to hold the event.

Once again, the stone carriage barn was turned into a haunted barn. Devoted sponsors of Mylestone, the Mariani family, flew in from Chicago to join their band in NJ, The Dogz, to open our event. These kids are so talented and we greatly appreciate them playing for us! No More Tears followed well into the night with two sets. They had the dance floor filled with various ghouls, goblins and vampires. The costumes were really festive this year and a wonderful time was had by all, raising over $5000 to help the horses.

Come, my pretty ... I have some Mylestone
merchandise you just must have!

No More Tears, above, and The Dogs, kept
everyone rocking all night.

The Silent Auction had Treats for all the partygoers.

A witch and wench, looking suspiciously like Mylestone volunteers Lois Commander and Cheryl Kavka, helped make sure the party went smoothly. Thanks to all the volunteers who helped make the evening a success!
