Bobbie was a handsome, 27 year old chestnut gelding Thoroughbred from PA when he came to Mylestone. His elderly owner was unable to care for and feed him, and Bobbie was losing weight and falling into a neglected state. Thankfully, our vet became aware of the situation and with the interim assistance of another rescue, we were able to bring Bobbie to Mylestone. Bobbie was a real easygoing sweetheart, who settled in nicely with Wyatt. We made Bobbie available for adoption as a companion horse, but that a home never came forward was just as well -- Bobbie was very contented here with us, enjoying a wonderful quality of life. He began having some problems which culminated in our having to put him to sleep in mid-April, 2008. His sweet ways are missed greatly.
