Although Margrit was certainly alive, it cannot be said that she had a life, for hers was spent tied to a tree. She was bred repeatedly, yet was never afforded the luxury of a barn, a shed, or any sort of shelter. She endured snow, hurricanes, thunderstorms, and scalding summer heat in one spot - tied to the same tree. And she gave birth in those conditions as well. Until her foals were sold, they endured the same fate ... tied to a different tree. Margrit came to Mylestone July 2006. She needs to gain at least 200 pounds. She enjoys the human companionship she never knew, and we're hoping, that as soon as she is fully recovered, she will enjoy the companionship of other horses at the farm. Margrit's vet care and feed are costly, and your support would be greatly appreciated. Please donate towards Margrit's care today, or sponsor her. She will be grateful, no doubt, for your caring.
