Peppermint Patty
Peppermint Patty

Peppermint Patty came to Mylestone with Lucy. Both are miniature horses, 20 year old mares, (in 2017), and were part of an ongoing cruelty investigation. They had been living in a septic leech field on the property of an animal collector. They were kept in an area knee deep in muck making it almost impossible for them to lie down. Both were in bad shape, not only thin, but covered with lice and their coats were poor from not being dewormed properly. Both needed major dental work. It was also evident that both horses had been abused. They were afraid of people, though they have since gotten much better with adults. Small children rode Lucy which is truly horrible since she is only about 30 inches tall. They both had a slow road to recovery, but have made such magnificent strides as to be almost unrecognizable from the forlorn creatures that arrived at Mylestone.

In the time Patty has been at the farm, she has become very outgoing and now enjoys being petted by staff. She and Lucy are inseparable, and enjoy their life here. Because both Patty and Lucy have serious dental problems, it will make them difficult to place since they will require long-term care. However, they are now available for adoption only as a pair to the adults who will provide them with that care. For more details, contact us.

While the two must be adopted together, they are available for sponsorship separately. If you would sponsor Patty, you'd make her one happy mini!
