Sassy was head of the mares in their corral

Sassafras, Sassy for short, was a retired lesson horse. Her owner could no longer afford to care for her properly. She came to Mylestone after going lame with her buddy who was also a rescue. Sadly she became very neurological and wasn't eating. We had her humanely put down. She was a beautiful mare who enjoyed a dominant position in the herd here at Mylestone. It is much quieter in the mares' paddock without her.
