Ethan
Ethan

Ethan is a 25 year old quarterhorse/saddlebred cross. He was used as a lesson horse at a large riding facility. He had to work hard and couldn't keep up with the lesson load. He went very lame in his right front knee. They didn’t know what was causing the lameness so they decided they didn’t want him anymore and were sending him to a dealer. A woman who rode Ethan at the stable raised the funds to purchase him from the dealer. She asked Mylestone if they could take him in.

When Ethan arrived at the farm the vet took X-rays of his knee to find out what was wrong. He ended up having a slab fracture. A piece of bone has broken off the front of his knee and he needed to be on complete stall rest. If the people at the riding facility had taken these X-rays when he became so lame there would have been a better chance of his knee healing. Now he has arthritis forming so chances of recovering to the point of being trail ridden are slim.

Ethan goes out alone and plays with other horses over the fence. He can spook easily at things and get nervous because of eyesight changes in his left eye. Overall he is a nice guy who was lucky enough to get a second chance Please contact Mylestone if you would be interested in adopting him.
